Epoxy Resin Usage
Safety:
Personal protective equipment: Always wear the following.

Ventilation: Always work in a well-ventilated area or use local exhaust ventilation.

Mixing:
- Choose a container that's the right size.
- Mix the resin and hardener in the correct ratio (usually 1-to-1).
- Stir for at least 3 minutes, scraping the bottom and sides of the container.
- Transfer the mixture to a second container and stir for another 1–2 minutes.
- Let the mixture sit for a couple of minutes to allow air bubbles to rise.
Pouring:
- Make sure your work surface is level.
- Pour the resin over your work.
- Let the resin spread around and run over the edges.
- Use a brush to tidy up the edges.
Defoaming:
- Use a flashlight to check for bubbles.
- Pop small bubbles with a sharp object, like a toothpick, or dental floss.
- Use a stirring stick to remove small groups of bubbles on the surface.
Clean up:
Clean tools and any equipment used with a solvent, such as rubbing alcohol or acetone.
Don't dispose of the mixture until it's cooled and the reaction has completed.
